In this second part of this three part blog series, learn more about some of the features that will make your drive more comfortable, and give you peace of mind on all roads, no matter where you’re going.
Let’s start at the front, in the comfort of the driver's seat:
No matter what the weather is outside, your seat is both heated and ventilated, so make sure that you are comfortable the whole time behind the wheel.
From the 10.25 inch touchscreen display, view several features, including the outside of the vehicle during travel, to ensure safety for all passengers:
- Blind-Spot View Monitor - when your turn signal is activated, cameras turn on and display a live view of your blindspots
- Forward Collision-Avoidance Assistance - the standard option uses sensors and cameras to help detect certain potential hazards that are in the road ahead. When it senses something in your path, this feature will automatically apply the brakes, adding an extra layer of protection for you and your passengers, your vehicle, and your surroundings. With the additional Junction Turning feature, your vehicle can detect oncoming vehicles while you are turning left at an intersection, to help avoid accidents.
- Surround View Monitor - with 4 exterior mounted cameras, you will have a birds eye view of your surroundings, which help to enhance your awareness when maneuvering your vehicle, especially when parallel parking.
- Navigation-Based Smart Cruise Control w/ Highway Driving Assist - this feature uses navigational data to predict oncoming curves in the road ahead, and helps to reduce the speed you’re cruising at. Once you exit the curve, it will return to the previous speed. And, highway driving assist can help maintain your predetermined speed and distance from vehicles detected ahead.
- Kia Connect - bluetooth connection that links your phone with Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, to enhance navigation, diagnostics, convenience, entertainment, and connection.
From a button on your steering wheel, or from Kia connect, use voice demands to control functions in your Kia like climate, seat heating, steering wheel heating, and more.
Now let’s hop in the back, and get comfortable:
The second row of seats are captains chairs, that are heated, recline, and slide forward with the push of a button, for easy third row access. The second row also folds over, to allow for more cargo space if needed.
The third row seats 4, with the standard 50/50 split that can fold the 3rd row down to expand the cargo space.
Throughout all three rows, there are usb and wireless charging ports, making sure your devices are always charged.
With the help of acoustic laminated glass on the front doors, the noise within the vehicle is limited, so you can enjoy a quieter ride.
With the Kia Access App and Kia Smart Keys, your Kia Sorento Hybrid can be ready to roll faster than you are, with just the push of a button!
With Remote Start & Climate Control, you can start your vehicle and set the cabin to a comfortable temperature before you get inside the vehicle. You can also lock and unlock the vehicle, with the Kia Access App
If your hands are full, the Smart Power Tailgate will open your trunk with a smart key, if you are standing near enough to your tailgate for enough time, without the push of a button.
