Meet our new Parts Manager: Ben Nelson!

The Eide Automotive Group prides itself on developing and strengthening the skills of their employees, so that they are able to continue their professional and personal growth. Because of this, we always look to our employees when there is a job opening, and strive to promote from within.

And that is why we are proud to announce the promotion of Ben Nelson, our Parts Manager at Eide Kia!

Ben Nelson joined our Eide family in September 2022 as a Kia service technician. Having grown up on a farm, Ben hung out with his dad when he would work on their trucks and machinery, and he learned from a young age that this is something he was passionate about. He began working on vehicles himself, and eventually made it his career. He officially began working in the automotive industry in 1998, making this his 26th year!

Ben has prior experience as a Parts Manager, and spending the rest of his career as a Technician, he has an immense amount of knowledge and experience to help him be successful in this new job position. 

“As a service technician, I enjoyed the challenge of taking something broken, and being able to make it work again,” says Ben. “The automotive industry is always changing, and I love being able to constantly learn and get better at what I do. Now as the Parts Manager, I am able to take that knowledge, and help our technicians find the right parts, and help our customers diagnose issues and make sure their vehicles get fixed correctly.”

“I love being able to help people, and come through for our customers, keeping them at ease during their vehicle maintenance. I am excited to be a part of the growth of this department, and soon be able to sell our parts over the counter, and develop relationships with other dealerships and parts departments around the state.”

With the new Eide Kia building under construction during the remodel, our service and parts departments have been moved to a temporary location, but the technicians have been able to efficiently continue to work and grow in their skills. The parts department has continued to be an excellent support to our technicians and customers, and Ben has been a big part of that. “It has been so awesome working with these guys in such a close proximity, and we have gotten into a great groove in the shop. But I am extremely excited to get back into the Eide Kia building after it is finished, so I can continue to learn and interact with customers on a more personal level, and be a better support to our technicians.”

“Ben is super dependable, and always wants to learn more,” says Ryan Else, Corporate Fixed Operations Director for the Eide Automotive Group. “His willingness to help others makes this transition easy for all departments, and we are all excited to see him and this department grow.”

“Ben has good relationships with our service advisors and technicians, making him a great fit for this new position,” says Adam Griffith, General Manager at Eide Kia. “We are excited to have him, and see what he can do, and where he can take our Kia parts department.”

As Eide Kia continues to grow and serve our local community, we are excited to have Ben as the head of our parts department.
