Meet our new Service Advisor, Devin Zander! 

Devin started working in the Ford building in 2009 in the wash bay. In 2011 he started working as a Lube Rack Technician, and for two years he helped with both Kia and Ford. He was training as a light duty service technician for a few months, and then in October 2013, he was promoted to Service Advisor at the Ford building, and for 11 years he worked in that building, until he moved to Service Advisor at Eide Kia in August 2024! 

“Since I was in 8th grade, I knew I wanted to turn wrenches for a living,” Devin says. “I always had an interest in anything that had an engine, and started watching and helping my dad when he would work on his vehicles. After that, I started tinkering on other engines, and the interest grew from there. Being able to work with vehicles everyday makes coming to work so much more fun.”

“I enjoy working in the automotive industry because it is always changing and evolving,” says Devin. “There is always something new to learn, whether it is new vehicle models or engines, it keeps you on your toes and keeps my job interesting.”

“The knowledge that I gained from being a light duty technician for a few months has always been extremely helpful when helping explain vehicle issues to customers. I want to build trust with our customers, and continuing to learn about our vehicles so that I can help them address their concerns has aided tremendously when it comes to building strong relationships with them.”

“Through my years as a Service Advisor, I have learned a lot about patience, time management, and customer relations. I’ve always enjoyed talking to people, hearing their stories and getting to know them more on a personal level. I also love being able to help them with their vehicle problems, and getting them back on the road safely.”

“I am excited for this opportunity to work as a Service Advisor at Eide Kia. Having worked with the Ford brand for 11 years, I know those vehicles inside and out. Now I get the chance to get to know our Kia vehicles and get to know more of our Eide customers, and I am extremely thankful for this next step in my career.”

In his spare time, he likes to play video games and golf, cook, and work on the farm! 

“No matter if you’re a stranger or if you’ve known Devin for 20 years, he treats you the same and makes it feel like you’ve known him for years,” says Ryan Else, Fixed Operations Director for the Eide Automotive Group. “He is able to connect with all of the people he works with, and this has helped to create a great community within our stores. We are very excited to have him now at Eide Kia!”
